Interviewer: Tell me your name, please.
Audrey: Hi, my name is Audrey Byer.
Interviewer: Cool, Audrey. So what did you like about the Showcase Program?
Audrey: It was super cool. I made a ton of friends during, so that’s always a plus, and I also learned a lot of things about the industry that I just probably wouldn’t have learned anywhere else as well as I learned them during Showcase. Especially how to just be comfortable with yourself as an actor. It really helped me be comfortable with who I am, and I’m definitely more comfortable in front of a camera now than I ever was before, stuff like that.
Interviewer: Cool, how do you think you grew from this project or from Showcase, rather?
Audrey: I think it made it a lot easier for me to kind of play with what I’m working on instead of getting into a very specific line read. I did my monologue very differently the first few times. And then I was like, “You know what, I’m just gonna to try something different.” I ended up liking it a lot better, and everyone kind of ended up liking it a lot better. So I think that was super helpful.
Interviewer: Cool. Nice. And would you recommend this to other people?
Audrey: Oh, for sure. It’s honestly a great investment. I got so much out of this. I, honestly, had no clue what I was going to do, I was lost everywhere. I had no idea where to get headshots. I had no idea how to type a resumé. I learned so much. I’m basically ready for life after this class.
