04 Aug A Confident Young Actor!
Acting classes make kids the best versions of themselves! Through acting, kids become more confident and outgoing. There may be no better example of that than Macintyre Sweeney! Macintyre came to us with a lot of personality and pep, but his personality really got to shine once he was in front of a camera with the tools to succeed!
“The Showcase [and Acting Career Program] helped every person in their own way…I’m much more [confident]! Before I’d do my commercial and it was okay, then you helped me develop it into something that would be on TV.”
Macintyre gained lifelong skills through our acting School’s Showcase and Acting Career Program, such as interview techniques, development and knowledge of industry terms, agency preparation, marketing yourself as an actor, and more. Whether he walks into an agency meeting or gives a presentation at school, Macintyre can do either completely confident he’ll do a great job!
This talented young man also happens to be a math whiz. He currently takes accelerated math courses at school! On top of his academic achievements, Macintyre is a musician as well, playing both piano and saxophone. Want to learn about science or sci-fi? Ask Macintyre! He loves performing science experiments and is a huge Doctor Who fan! We love having him at our acting school in Los Angeles, and can’t wait to see what awesome work he books!

Think your child is ready for primetime? Learn more about our Showcase and Acting Career Program:
Macintyre: I thought it was just really amazing because the first classes, they really just taught everyone, basically, the same thing, but then the Showcase would help every person individually, like in their own way, like what to do in an interview, your resume, like how you get into show business. And then, it all just leads up to when, like the final Showcase class, when you perform in front of agents, it all really helps, like going in, shaking hands, all that.
Interviewer: Well, do you think you’re more confident?
Interviewee: Yeah, much more, because first I came in, I said, “Okay,” and I would do my commercial. “Okay,” a little bit, and then they really helped me, you really helped me, and that really developed into something that would be on TV.
